WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY

My friend had gone here for treatment and told me to check it out. I have been to a few clinics to seek help and with them, I never felt cared for. Pahl Pharmaceutical Professionals has changed the way I look at getting help with their high level of personal care. I am so glad that they helped me feel comfortable with seeking help with my addiction.

I came into this practice with no place left to go and at my wits end in dealing with my addiction. Right from the start they were very welcoming, discreet, and with their treatment plan they have helped my start my journey down the road to becoming myself again.

I just wanted to get clean. I wanted someone to care. I wanted to feel like I was being heard and like I am not just another name on a prescription pad. Finally I have that piece of mind and along with helping me beat my addiction they made the experience a warm and welcome one unlike other places that are old and often times frightening.

How
Suboxone®
Works

Suboxone® is a medication used to treat opiate addiction and opioid dependency (either prescription drugs or illegal) as part of a comprehensive suboxone treatment program that also incorporates counseling and therapy. It is made up of buprenorphine (a partial-agonist with limited opioid effect) and naloxone (an opioid antagonist that reverses the effect of opioids). Suboxone® is administered as a sublingual film and helps eliminate cravings and withdrawal symptoms so that you can think and function normally. Suboxone® is an FDA-approved medicine that is available for take-home use when prescribed by a licensed physician.

At OKC Suboxone Doctor, we provide our patients with comprehensive recovery plans to help them overcome opioid addiction and reach their sobriety goals. Our suboxone doctors focus on tailoring treatment to the unique needs of our patients and will determine a clinically-effective dosage of Suboxone® so that they can stay active in their recovery. Our experienced counseling team is committed to providing supportive psychosocial therapy to help our patients heal mentally and emotionally.

PLEASE NOTE:
We do not dispense any medication at our Suboxone clinic.

OPIOID ADDICTION TREATMENT IN OKC
UNDERSTANDING THE DISEASE

At OKC Suboxone Doctor, we understand how stressed and overwhelmed you can feel when you’re trying to determine where to get opioid addiction treatment for yourself or for a loved one. That’s why we believe it’s our responsibility to be a resource for you during this difficult time. One of the ways we can support you is by helping you better understand the complex disease that is opioid addiction.

First and foremost, it’s important to understand that opioid addiction, or Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), has no prejudices. It does not care about things like age, race, gender, or socioeconomic status. Individuals struggling with addiction don’t continue to abuse drugs because of moral failure or because they are weak. Opioid addiction is a chronic disease that affects an individual’s physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual well-being, and it requires both psychological and medical treatment to get clean and stay clean.

We’ve helped countless patients move forward at OKC Suboxone Doctor — and we’re ready to help you with our multifaceted opioid addiction treatment. We’ll be here to answer all your questions, address your concerns, and ultimately help guide you towards making the best choice for you.

Opioid Addiction Is Physical

Opioids, just like all addictive substances, have an immediate and powerful impact on the human body. They rewire the brain, forcing it to produce certain chemicals that feel intensely good — and because the brain is rewired, it becomes harder to feel that good without those substances.

Opioids don’t even have to cause euphoric feelings: for someone prescribed pain medications, just feeling less pain can be more than addictive enough to get hooked on these dangerous substances.

The more opioids you take, the more you’ll need to achieve the same effect. When this goes on for too long, you form a physical dependence where you need opioids to feel normal, let alone better.

Opioid Addiction Is Physiological

Opioids can create patterns of behaviors. Pain, trauma, strong negative emotions, or even poor self-image can lead people to turn to opioids for an escape whenever their feelings become too much to bear. This is especially true for those who don’t believe there’s a solution to their emotional or physical suffering.

This can create a cycle: negative feelings drive someone who has used opioids to obsess over them. They begin using opioids again and lose control, often suffering consequences for it. They then stop using opioids and become sober — but when the negative feelings return, they may not be prepared to fight their addiction, and return to opioid use.

Opioid addiction treatment, then, should not only work towards sobriety, but also to coping with the underlying causes of OUD so that sobriety is sustainable.

MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT)
IN OKLAHOMA CITY
FIGHTING OPIOID ADDICTION WITH
SUBOXONE AND COUNSELING

Medication-Assisted Treatment, or MAT, looks at the problem of addiction holistically. Opioids are addictive, and we can work to break that addiction, but we should also look at what led a person to OUD in the first place. It’s important to not only get clean, but to also break the cycle of addiction.

At OKC Suboxone Doctor, our MAT program makes use of the antinarcotic medication SUBOXONE®, which behaves similarly to opioids to relieve withdrawal symptoms without creating dependence. Buprenorphine satisfies withdrawal symptoms to provide pain and stress relief, while naloxone dissuades abuse of the drug by causing uncomfortable symptoms if it’s mis-used.

At the same time, Medication-Assisted Treatment offers anyone with OUD who is on SUBOXONE® therapy and counseling, so that they can discuss their triggers, work on creating a more stable environment for themselves, and find ways to fight their addiction that are both healthy and sustainable. MAT addresses the physical needs of someone with OUD while treating them like a person
